Hi, my name is Shane. Like many of you, I’m a big LEGO Collector. And with big LEGO collections comes a lot of bricks. Brickcessories asked me to share my feedback about the 14” Brick Sorting Kit, so let me tell you all about it.

As a kid, my very limited LEGO sets were some of my favorite toys. I really loved the Blacktron and the Knights and Castles sets. Like often happens, when I grew up and left home, my Mom gave my LEGO collection to my siblings and I never saw them again. Thanks to the internet I've been able to rebuild parts of my childhood collection.

When LEGO started releasing Star Wars sets in the early 2000's, I started buying them for the first time as an adult. I told myself, “It’s just a few sets.” Then the DC and Marvel sets hit the shelves and I told myself, “It's just a few sets.” And eventually there were Lego Ideas, UCS sets, the artwork sets, and the rest is history.

I now have over 500 pounds of LEGO bricks. Now compared to some collections I've seen, that's nothing. But for me it was overwhelming. When I would dismantle a set the parts would just get tossed into plastic bins and mix in with all my other sets.

One day as I was perusing the internet I came across Brickcessories and saw this amazing sorting system. I finally thought “OMG is it possible? I might actually be able to sort my bricks.” So I decided to hit the buy button and become the owner of a new Brickcessories 14" Brick Sorting Kit.

It arrived in about a week and was very tightly packed. One thing to keep in mind is that some assembly is required. I'm a woodworker, so I had wood glue and clamps to assemble each section. Wood glue is easy to find and if you don't have clamps, larger rubber bands will do the job.

The sorting process is pretty easy. You just dump your loose LEGO onto the top sorting rack and shake it back and forth. The pieces just fall through the holes as they get smaller and smaller. Before you know it you'll have your LEGO pieces sorted by size in no time at all.

Buying the Sorter was one of the smartest decisions I ever made. Please check out this video to see it in action.
